The Crazy Pail
The "Crazy Pail" was produced by Product Design Engineering of Cleveland Ohio. Not sure when, but probably in the late '50s or early '60s. To be used as a trap, the pail was supposed to be laid on it's side with the lid about 1/2" ajar and baited with cornmeal or crackers. It could be used to carry bait  and also as a lure to attract fish when lowered into the water full of minnows. There is a spring between the lid and the bottom of the trap/pail to keep it tight.
